The detaileveryoneelse skips.
Crown, casing, wainscot, coffered ceilings, and custom built-ins — cut tight, scribed clean, and finished like it grew there. Saw Horse Carpentry, LLC.
Rooms that read as finished.
A sample of recent trim and millwork — crown, wainscot, ceilings, and built-ins across metro Atlanta.
Every profile has a job.
Trim is the line where rough framing becomes a finished room. These are the details we run most — drawn here as their cross-section profiles.
Crown & Cornice
Single-piece or stacked built-up crown, coped at every inside corner.
Door & Window Casing
Clean reveals, mitered or plinth-and-rosette traditional details.
Wainscoting & Paneling
Raised, flat, or board-and-batten — laid out to land symmetrical.
Coffered Ceilings
Box beams and grids that make ceiling height feel intentional.
Built-ins & Shelving
Bookcases, benches, mudrooms, and surrounds, scribed to the wall.
Baseboard & Base
Tall base with cap and shoe, returned and coped to disappear.
Bigger than trim? We carry the whole job.
Saw Horse is a licensed, insured general contractor. Remodels, additions, and full build-outs — same crew that obsesses over the trim runs the project.
Measure twice. Then measure again.
No mystery, no runaround. Three stages, and you know what's happening at each one.
Walk & quote
We walk the space, talk through the look you're after, take real measurements, and send a clear written estimate — line by line, no padding.
Mill & fit
Stock is selected and acclimated, profiles are confirmed, and pieces are cut and dry-fit on site. Nothing gets fastened until the reveals are right.
Finish & walk
Caulked, filled, sanded, and sprayed or hand-finished. We do a final walkthrough together and don't call it done until you do.
A one-crew shop, on purpose.
When you hire Saw Horse, the person who quotes the job is the person holding the coping saw.
Saw Horse Carpentry started the way most good shops do — one carpenter who got tired of watching corners get cut on the part of the job that everybody actually sees. Trim is the finish line. It's the casing your hand touches, the crown your eye follows, the built-in that makes a room feel like it was designed instead of assembled.
We keep the crew small so the standard stays high. Every miter, every scribe, every reveal gets the same attention whether it's a powder room or a great room.
Wear the trade.
Merch for people who notice a bad miter from across the room.
